With literally hundreds of travel pillows on the market, do we really need another one? What is so special about the Total Pillow that makes it worth spending millions on infomercial advertising? Is it really the best travel neck pillow available?

Since they’ve been flying off our shelves the past few months & I was about to embark on a 3-hour flight, I thought this would be a pretty good opportunity to give one a try and find out. I usually let members of our staff do the testing but since I’m about as picky as anyone when it comes to my pillows, why not let myself be the guinea pig this time?

Pillow

As far as travel pillows go, the Total Pillow pretty much rocks. This thing is so versatile that if you can’t find a position that suits you, I’ll relinquish my title as “the most picky pillow person on earth.”

If I had to choose between my wife & my Total Pillow as travel companions, I’ll take the pillow. It understands my feelings and doesn’t talk as much. It will twist & change into about 5 different shapes – and remarkably retains its shape.

Seriously though, I’m a side sleeper so I’ve never really found a travel pillow that accommodates me. Most of them cradle the neck, pretty much forcing you into a “look straight ahead” position. And most that I have found to be halfway comfortable are too bulky to lug around the airport. This pillow, however, slid perfectly onto my carry-on bag and cradled me just right during flight.

But, if you do prefer the typical “straight ahead” travel pillow position, just fold the Total Pillow in half and you’ll find it to be the soft & comfy, giving just the right amount of neck support.

If you’re one that has trouble with your back on car rides, twist the Total Pillow into the “knot” position & you’ll have a perfect lower back cushion for the trip. Or for a little extra support in your chair at the office, just keep it in the regular position & place it under your bottom.

Whatever your ailments are, I would highly recommend the Total Pillow. It’s great for the car, the plane, the office chair, for watching TV at home – anywhere you need a little extra comfort.

The ad belt, the electronic muscle stimulator, is considered one of the best products on the market to produce firmer, flatter bellies. Initially used in medical rehab situations, they have been used to stimulate muscles by generating deep muscle contractions which prohibited muscles wasting away when they were not being used.

Although this technology has a good track record, there is no indication or proof that by using the ab belt you would end up with six pack abs. The level of stimulation required to obtain this level of muscle toning would be very high and painful. They advertise thirty minutes a day will give you a washboard stomach whereas users have noted that unless you are very unfit and flabby, the pulse stimulation would not be significant enough to fulfill the claims made by the product advertisements.

Contour

However, although it may not bring you to the peak of condition or burn he fat necessary to give you the abs you want, the supplier does indicate in their promotional spiels that it should be used in conjunction with a exercise plan and nutritional diet.

For the unfit and flabby bellies, use of the ab belt creates a good basis to start an exercise strategy to bring them into shape. The pulse goes into the muscles and then speaks to cover the area you need toned up so give an overall result. This together with a weight loss program can put you in better shape and tone you up significantly.

The unfit can no longer use the excuse of no time to get fit, because the ab belts can we used at home or office, doing housework, sitting at your desk or just walking around. No need to take the time out from your busy schedule to visit the gym you do ot need to go outside the front door.

The contour belt helps to firm your abs and core, giving you a more sculptured and tightened look. You will not have to do crunches, sit-up or push-ups again. You can wear it around the house while doing housework. The belt is ergonomically designed to fit your waist.

This device mimics the control of muscles by the brain; in turn you get a more toned look. It uses what is known as EMS, Electro Muscle Stimulation. The electricity travels through the gel packs. It works similar to a pacemaker for the heart, contracting and relaxing.

Contour

It uses either batteries, or a rechargeable power supply. It is a meld of modern digital technology and science of physiology. The belt works the lower and upper abs, obliques and lower stomach areas all at once.

You are using the healthy muscles that have been weakened or have lost their firmness, and it should be used as a supplement to a good diet and exercise. This should not be replaced by the use of a belt. It can be used to help repair and fix muscles by a medical or sports doctor. It works certain muscles and does not strain or tear them.

There is a contour lifting belt designed for heavy workouts and lifting. It helps support the abdominal area and the back. It does not require use of electricity, mostly a support belt. It can also be used to help minimize chafing and pinching.

When you first use the contour belt it is important to read all the instructions carefully. Try using it first on the lowest setting. This will help your body adjust to how it works and its movement. Most of the belts have to be ordered online or from the home shopping channels on television. Each person may get different results, and some may take longer than others.
